01Concept

High-resolution imaging and environmental monitoring to the 100m class

02Structure

This vehicle is assembled from five subsystems: a vessel that withstands depth, a mechanism that controls sink and rise, eyes that measure the environment, a lens that records, and a voice that reports on surfacing. Each region of the diagram is linked to the list below.

  • Pressure housing

The vessel that withstands depth, protecting the internals in an international-standard pressure housing.

    Spec
    Blue Robotics WTE (international standard)
  • Buoyancy engine

The mechanism that controls sink and rise, diving and surfacing on low power via CO₂ and a solenoid valve.

    Spec
CO₂ + solenoid valve (low power)
  • Sensors

The eyes that measure the environment, recording water temperature and pressure at high precision.

    Spec
    Water temp ±0.1°C / pressure ±2mm
  • Camera

The lens that records, capturing ecology as imagery.

    Spec
    4K HDR
  • Comms (on surfacing)

The voice that reports on surfacing, sharing position and observation data.

    Spec
    LTE/GPS
