We presented the configuration of an AI model that consistently performs detection, tracking, and classification of fish from underwater video, and its applications to ecosystem monitoring.
We presented at the Lightning Talk (LT) session of MATLAB EXPO 2025 about the evolved Fish AI (detection, tracking, and classification of fish) and its applications to underwater observation.
This initiative aims to stably detect targets from underwater video and handle tracking and classification as a series of processes, thereby reducing the burden of video analysis while obtaining information that can be utilized for ecosystem monitoring. On the day, we introduced the model configuration, how to handle data, and other implementation considerations.
